Student have to use their innovative ideas to do the projects individually.
Position your glass of water on a table and then place the mirror inside it at an angle. Make sure that the room is completely dark. Close all the curtains and the blinds so it gets pitch dark. Take the flashlight or your torch and aim the light towards the mirror that you placed inside the glass. Watch a rainbow appear from the angle of your mirror. Adjust the angle of the mirror.
You have just made your own rainbow, but do you know the explanation behind your creation? A rainbow is an optical phenomenon that appears as a band of colours in an arc, resulting from the refraction of the sun's light rays by the rain. When the sun shines on the droplets of water in the atmosphere, a rainbow, as people see it, is formed.A rainbow displays the colours red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet in respective order. Its formation can be caused by other things as well just like mist, dew and spray. To explain it further, when light strikes the surface of a water drop, it changes speed thus causing it to bend. It is refracted as it enters the water and then refracts again as it leaves the droplet. The outcome is light being reflected in varying angles, creating a rainbow.Light travels in varying waves where the length of each would depend upon the colour. When light retracts, the different colours refract and bend in different amounts as well. This is the reason why we see different colours in a spectrum when there is a rainbow
For a working couple, it is hard to find time to have laundry day where the cloth is dried through the whole day because the weather can change from sunny to rainy days. This paper use Microcontroller PIC16F877A to install all programs that will give instructions to conduct this system properly. This paper will introduce the techniques which will automatically retrieve-out the clothes when it is the sunny day and oppositely retrieve-in the clothes when it is a rainy day. This part needs DC motor to convert electrical power into mechanical power for retrieve-out and retrieve-in all the clothes. Temperature sensors that will be used here can measure temperature and day condition whether it is sunny or rainy day more accurately. LDR (Light Dependent Resistor) sensors will be used to detect light intensity. Rain detector will be used to sense when it begins to rain outside by detecting rain water from moisture impedance sensor locate at the rod. The dry-time of the clothes will be setup using rotary knob switch and it will automatically retrieve-in the clothes using DC motor when the dried-time is finished. Here we will display the day condition, temperature and dry-timer using LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) or indicator light such as LED (Light Emitting Diode).
Now-a-days water scarcity has become a serious problem in India and there are many factors responsible for this like improper supply of water from the dam, improper water saving systems, etc. but one major factor is the improper opening and closing of the dam gate according to the level of water in the dam. Also till date the control mechanism of the dam gates is done manually and using microcontroller. But there are lots of errors in manual method. Also the controller based system is huge and hence suitable for major dams due to its cost. For medium and small dams like irrigation dams does not require such huge controller systems. So to reduce these problems a mechatronic control system is proposed in this paper. This project is a AT89S51 microcontroller based dam gate control system which helps in keeping an eye on the frequent usage of water resources from dam for irrigation purposes and efficient operation of dam gate according to the level of water and also helps in indicating about flood to people living in the surrounding. This proposed mechanism of dam gate control reduces the water wastage and efficient usage of available water is ensured. Also there are heavy load shedding problems in the villages in almost all states of India. To overcome these problems the proposed dam gate control system can be combined with the operation of the geothermal and nuclear power plants for generation of electricity.
Smartphone(Bluetooth) Controlled Car is controlled by using Android mobile phone instead of any other method like buttons, gesture etc. Here only needs to touch button in android phone to control the car in forward, backwardd, left and right directions. So here android phone is used as transmitting device and Bluetooth module placed in car is used as receiver. Android phone will transmit command using its in-built Bluetooth to car so that it can move in the required direction like moving forward, reverse, turning left, turning right and stop.
The main aim of this project is to design a system to open/close mobile platforms in between the train tracks for elder or handicapped people. In Railway stations normally we use bridges to go to the other platforms. Sometimes it is very difficult for the elderly persons or handicapped persons to use that bridge. this project finds a good solution. Mainly the tracking of a train is controlled by switches, this is used for automatically close/open the mobile platform. Rocker switches are placed to control the bridge open/close.
The development of a country depends on the village’s development. As part of the smart village concept, we need a system that helps in development of villages in the areas like Primary education, people’s healthcare,Roads and Transportation,Drinking water facilities ,government policies awareness and availability of basic facilities/infrastructure.This system helps the members to collaborate, plan, assess and implement different activities.
With increase in population we have an increase in the garbage around urban areas. Here we propose a smart dustbin that operates automatically to help solve this issue using IOT and sensor based circuitry. Usual dustbins require to be opened by pressing foot against its lever and then throwing garbage. Also a person needs to keep track when it is full so that it can be emptied and does not overflow. Here we propose a smart dustbin that does all this by itself. Our system consists of a sensor in order to detect human clap signal and on a clap of foot tap it opens automatically without anyone needing to press its lever. The dustbin opens automatically when it receives the signal and closes its hatch. Also the dustbin consists of a level sensing ultrasonic sensor that constantly measures the level of garbage in the bin and automatically detects if it is about to fill up. The dustbin now consists of a smart circuitry that transmits this information over the web to signal the main garbage collector of the facility to empty the particular garbage bin. We use IOTgecko to develop the online web part for the iot system. This bin is of a vast usage in offices, homes and even in public places for garbage management. Thus we get a fully automated smart dustbin that allows for automated garbage cleaning.
Many people have a phobia of darkness, so to assist them in such situations, we have explained a simple circuit that will automatically turn on the street light consisting of LEDs or bulb coupled with relay. It is lit well enough to see the objects nearby.
This circuit is very easy to work around and also it is battery operated. The power consumed by the circuit is very low because of the very few components used in the circuit.
The whole circuit is based on IC LM358, which is basically an operational amplifier that is configured in a voltage comparator. LDR (Light depending resistor), whose resistance is based upon the quantity of the light falling on it, is the main component for sensing the light. Along with these, a few more components are also used.
Change…most people find it difficult because of their set routines and mundane ways. Thankfully, children are our future and they are more amenable to change. Give them the opportunity to learn and experience alternative sources of energy to help create a greener future. This is a wonderful introduction to OWI’s newest series: Plug-in Solar Rechargeable kits for ages 8 and up.
Kids can build an eco-friendly and Green Life future. They can see the benefits of putting solar energy to work and discover how solar cells generate electricity from light. The kit consists of a powerful solar cell, rechargeable battery (included), house, and car. It is easy to assemble: no screws, nuts, or fuss. Just simply plug-in the car into the house, solar energy converts into electric power for storage and application. On a sunny day, charging is complete in 3 minutes. Run time is fun time. Once released from the house, the car will venture and explore for you for three minutes.
As the saying goes, “Our children are the future.”And if anything is certain about that future, it is that renewable energy sources and green technologies will play a major role in our children’s lives. With Green Life, let them learn about their future and have fun doing it.

Solar panels work by absorbing sunlight with photovoltaic cells, generating direct current (DC) energy and then converting it to usable alternating current (AC) energy with the help of inverter technology. AC energy then flows through the home’s electrical panel and is distributed accordingly. Here are the main steps for how solar panels work for your home:Solar panels absorb the sun’s energy and convert it to DC electricity
The solar inverter converts DC electricity from your solar modules to AC electricity, which is used by most home appliances
Electricity flows through your home, powering electronic devices
Excess electricity produced by solar panels is fed to the electric grid.
